Dr. Miracle’s Curl Care – Review!

I recently received Dr. Miracle’s new Curl Care line in the mail for review. I opened the box and thought — these are adorable, and they’re never going to work.

I haven’t had good luck with curly girl products. In general, my hair does what it wants. The only product I’ve ever had anything really good to say about is Got2B Kinky, which I love, but which makes me a bit crunchier than I prefer.

But I digress.

There were six adorable bright pink bottles. I have now tried them all out. And here is my review:

Overall, these are fantastic. They’re paraben, phthalate, and sulfate free, and they have all sorts of deliciously nourishing all-natural ingredients, like coconut and jojoba. I am way into this. Also, wow, these smell great. They’re like watermelon bubbleyum making love to a freshly bathed peppermint patty.

Rehydrating Shampoo and Nourishing Conditioner – Lovely. The shampoo is less sudsy than most. The conditioner tingles a tiny bit, but not unpleasantly. Together, made my wiry hair softer than it has ever ever been. Collectively, they get 5/5.

Frizz Control Serum – My least favorite of the products. It’s supposed to make your hair shiny and defrizzed, while helping the curl keep its shape. My boyfriend looked at me, eyes wide, horrified, and simply said, “I don’t like that.” Agreed. 2/5 (for being shiny)

Boosting & Defining Leave In Conditioner - Meant to be used on hair immediately after showering with the shampoo and conditioner. I really liked this. It made my already-softened hair feel deliciously protected. Also smells great and doesn’t weigh hair down. I like that’s it’s sort of thin and not greasy. 5/5.

Soft Hold Creme – Pretty pretty good!! This is supposed to be used after the shower and post-leave in conditioner. I tried it that way and also on dry hair. It works pretty well on both. This stuff is very thick and luxurious-feeling. My only complaint is that it makes my now-softened hair (thanks, shampoo and conditioners!!), while not crunchy, certainly de-softened. 4/5

Weightless Moisturizing CremeThis is my favorite!!! I LOVE this!!! It’s supposed to be used on damp hair, but I tried it damp and dry and loved it both ways. It looks just like the soft hold creme, but it allows you to maintain that deeply moisturized, soft, ohnodarlingi’mjustbornwithit feel. 6/5!!!!!!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m actually planning to buy this (minus the frizz serum)  when my precious supply runs out. Recommend!!!

I have to ask, what kind of hair do you have? Because I have ridiculously curly hair and am always looking for new things to try. Thanks :)

I just tried the weightless moisturizing cream. My hair is THICK and very curly. It softened the texture up and curls look more defined!
