7 Post-Grad Movies for Your New Post-Grad Life

So you just graduated from college! Congratulations! You have a degree!

But now what? After we leave the comfort of a campus that we’ve known for four years, where do we go? What do we do? It’s such a strange place to be in life–22 and  lost. The next obvious step is to get into the “real world” and start looking for a job and starting your first career. Some other people decide to take some time off and travel. Some move back home and relax for a hot minute. And some decide to completely avoid reality and do a little thing called grad-school. All of these are wonderful options and as long as your post-grad self is happy, that’s all that matters!

If you’re hyperventilating while reading this because you’re a post-grad who feels overwhelmed by possibility or the pressures to get to a “real job”, never fear! I’m here to help take your mind off of things for a while and let you in on the lives of some fictional characters in the same place you are (but more miserable and dramatic). So check out these seven great films that focus on the post-grad life and take comfort in knowing that these people have it way worse. Happy watching!

Good movie picks, but can you please stop propagating the rumor that going to grad school is 'delaying reality'. That is really uniformed. A lot of people go to grad school because they need extra training for their chosen careers and not because they are trying to blow off real life. Sure some idiots go somewhere like law school without a clue that the job market is terrible, only to end up in the same place with worse debt two years later. Others go to grad school fully funded, with an eye on the future and some do internships over the summer and are even able to save money while in school. I find it really annoying when my friends who are staying at home living with their parents after undergrad and working at a $10 an hour or less job for 20 hrs a week are telling me I'm the one delaying life by going to grad school. I work 60-70 hours a week and I know I will have an amazing job in just a few years because of it.

I also went straight from uearngrdd to grad. For me, I changed my mind from what I thought I wanted to do (teach high school math) during my senior year in college to what I am now doing (working in higher ed). I had spent 4 years preparing for one path and not really thinking with purpose about the one I ended up on, so grad school seemed like a good path. After working some of the summer jobs that I did, I knew that I was supposed to work in some type of educational field; plus, I have always really liked learning! Grad school was a totally different college experience for me, both in terms of the institution and the types of classes I was taking. I also knew that, for the types of positions I would prefer in higher ed, a master’s degree was generally required, even for entry-level positions. And like the first Sarah commented, I have always been relatively mature for my age, so it hasn’t really been a problem. Even now with 2 years of professional experience, I am 4 years older (in most cases) than all of the students I advise. I do think it depends on the person, but I don’t see a problem with going directly from uearngrdd to grad school.

I’ve been surfing around on-line over a few hrs not too long ago, still I actually never ever found any appealing report just like the one you have. It truly is attractive price sufficient in my opinion. In person, if perhaps just about all website owners and also people manufactured outstanding articles when you have, the net might be far more practical than any other time.
