Donna Summer Passes Away at 63

Disco diva Donna Summer passed away this morning after a battle with cancer. She was just 63-years-old and working on her upcoming album at the time of her passing. Ms. Summer, born LaDonna Adrian Gaines, was a 5-time Grammy award winner and rose to fame in the ’70s with hits like “Hot Stuff,” “Bad Girls” and “Love to Love You Baby.”

This is a very sad day for the music world, losing such a great talent like Donna Summer. I think we all can remember a time when a Donna Summer song came on, and we couldn’t help but groove to her disco tunes. She and her music will be greatly missed.
