Leighton Meester is Trendy in Tie-Dye [Celebrity Chic on the Cheap]

Leighton Meester has been embodying haute couture chic as Blair Waldorf for 5 (!) years, but her personal style is a lot more accessible. She usually skews towards simple silhouettes and classic colors, but she’s not afraid to mix it up and indulge some funky trends every now and then.

I am not usually a fan of tie-dye. I’ve noticed it creeping into fashion again as of late, and I haven’t been impressed. In fact, truth is I had to see Leighton’s outfit on three separate websites before it actually clicked with me. This is a great, easy-breezy summer outfit. The tie-dye dress is in cool neutral blues, so it’s not too obnoxious. Combined with a black clutch and black sandals, it’s elevated to a legitimately fashionable ensemble (and not like your 5th grade closet vomited on you).  This is a perfect on-trend look for casual outings this summer.
