Today Is Video Games Day!

Okay, okay it’s not National Video Games Day. That’s on September 12. But it is just Video Games Day, which is perfect for a Sunday if you ask me. Why is this a great holiday? Well, it’s hot out. And while we’d all love to pretend that we’re content roasting by the pool, some days it’s not in the cards. Some days I’d like to sit inside on an icepack with a popsicle and do mindless activities.

Like play video games. This holiday gives us the opportunity to do just that! Your friends want to go do some activity outside? Sorry, it’s Video Games Day. Your parents want you to do yard work? Nope, it’s Video Games Day, I’m busy. Oh and how awesome would it be to steal that Xbox controller right out of your boyfriend’s hands and ignore him all day for a change? Totes.

If you’re not too keen on controller games like Halo or Call of Duty, there are tons of options for you. Do you have a smartphone? You can play games like Fruit Ninja, Cut the Rope, or my personal favorite, Lego Harry Potter. What are you waiting for? Go forth and play!
