I’m 5 Pounds Thinner! Kylie’s Special K Challenge

Woo hoo, y’all! I am five pounds thinner just in time for the wedding I’ll be walking in this weekend! Aw, yeeeeahhhh man!

I am so excited to be finished with the Special K Challenge for two reasons: 1. I am five pounds skinnier – and what’s not to love about that?! and 2. I am excited to continue working on teaching myself better, healthier eating habits and smarter snacking routines. I’m not totally where I want to be yet, but for right now, this is pretty damn good!

There’s seriously nothing better than the satisfaction of knowing that you worked hard to lose the excess weight you were carrying. I feel so, so good. (can you tell? Or am I not making that obvious enough?) And y’all should be so proud of me too! Do you know how many times I turned down pizza? PIZZA? As in the greatest, most delicious meal ever in the history of all mankind?! And BURGERS. All day long I want pizza and burgers. It’s a sin and a blessing, and it’s been hard to say no …. but I did it!

I’m also excited to be finished with this challenge for another big reason: it’s time to test my healthy eating skills in the real world. The wonderful thing about the Special K challenge is that there’s no need to stray from the diet plan and all your meals are basically laid out for you (except dinner) – and that’s been super, super helpful. But it’s time to flea the nest, so to speak, and while the Special K challenge is great to start, it’s not something that I could live off of forever. I need to continue learning how to incorporate the skills I picked up on the challenge into my daily routine and remember to listen to my body instead of just feeding my eyes (which is something I was guilty of before this challenge & something I’ll always be conscious of!).

So now it’s back to the real world. Me and my pint-sized tummy are going to keep working toward making us the best we can be, but I’m expecting a few bumps on the road to success. I will absolutely, without a doubt, hands down, always never forget how good I feel right now — and strive to keep my body and mind as healthy as it is right now.

And for good measure: Go me!!!

Ohhh I understand!! It feels great but sometimes those pesky cravings! Congrats on the 5 pounds! I lost 4, but don't you just feel better?!? It's weird. I never thought eating healthy would make me feel good, but my body is very happy :)
