How To Talk Your Way Out of a Ticket

Being a woman is the first advantage. Sorry boys, it’s just one of those things we’re better at than you! These few tips include using a bit of psychology, sympathy, and straight up lying. The most important thing to remember is that police officers LOVE that they are the authority. Wouldn’t you? Always treat them with too much respect and I hate to say it, but suck up. Hey, two minutes of sucking up is way better than having to pay a $150 speeding ticket. If you find yourself pulled over try one of these tricks.

I’d love to hear if any work in practice, so don’t forget to let us know if they do in the comments!

Those excuses never work. Especially crying. Officers are so used to the waterworks that they are more annoyed than actually sorry for you. The best thing to do is to fess up and say "I'm sorry sir, you're absolutely right. I was speeding. It was stupid of me." Don't play dumb. My cousin, who is a notoriously bad driver, never cries when she gets pulled over. She's just honest about it. And don't even think about pulling the tricks mentioned above with a female police officer. They are definitely harsher than the males.

      Hey Sima,

Probably depends on the situation, but I had a perfectly clean record and was honest and guess what? I still got a $150 ticket for making a turn. The sign was not in a noticeable place either. Cops get off on power trips, especially in suburban areas where they have nothing to do.

If a cop still gives a crying girl a ticket, then he’s just a douche bag.

these are actually terrible things to do. i've been told by cops that if you admit to what you've done & don't act like a super emotional wreck they're more likely to get you out of a ticket.

I've seen this work in action several times. It works! You just have to commit. :)
