Our Top Picks From The Rebecca Taylor Fall Collection
Last week I was lucky enough to attend a preview and shopping event for Rebecca Taylor’s Fall collection, and I loved it. I was already won over by delicious Georgetown cupcakes, real gold leaf macarons and free champagne, but the highlight was of course the gorgeous clothes. I’ll be honest, the price range isn’t realistic for the average college girl – if you’re on a budget, you’re not going to be able to afford a whole new Fall wardrobe from the line. But the collection is full of some absolutely stunning investment pieces that, when combined with basics you already have, or cheap on trend accessories, would be the perfect addition to any college girl’s closet. Here are some of my top picks from the line, and the best ways to wear them:
Jumper from Rebecca Taylor - $350 (used in all outfits), Outfit One: Grey Skirt from H &M - $17.95, Black Wedges from ASOS – $58, Layered Necklace from Forever 21 – $5.80, Outfit Two: Pink Jeans from Topshop – $76, Black Flats from Forever 21 – $14.80, Outfit Three: Patterned Skirt from Topshop – $32, Patterned Shoes from ASOS - $19.88
I fell in love with this dolman sweater, not only is the pattern really cool and wearable, the fabric is so soft and snuggly, perfect for colder days in the Fall. I liked the idea of wearing it with shades of gray in Outfit one for a very chic rocker look, or pairing it with a sugary pink pair of jeans to emphasize the soft, cuddly side of the piece. The third look is for the more fashion daring. Mixed prints are still a huge trend, and this outfit is a great way to wear them – stick to one color palette to make the look work.
I love a good shirt dress, and this one is perfect. The colors are great for Fall, and I love the unexpected python print. The fit is flattering and looks effortless. I love this dress paired with dark brown casual accessories and chunky jewelry, but it would look just as great with some nude pumps for a night out.
Those are the two pieces I’m lusting after, but there’s a lot more to see from Rebecca Taylor’s collection. This season’s line is all about well made, perfectly cut investment pieces in shades perfect for Fall. Rich shades of teal, gray and plum, coupled with on trend embellishments like tassels and studs makes for a seriously lust worthy collection. Click here to check out the line, and while you’re there take a look at the sale section, there are some great finds!
