What It Is:

Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in Mermaid’s Dream

Why This Should Be in Your Bag:

Deborah Lippmann is a nail superstar. She manicures all the biggest celebrities and custom mixes polishes for your favorite fashion designers.

When I saw one of her summer 2012 releases, Mermaid’s Dream, I fell hard. I’m a sucker for turquoise shades, but the glitter and shimmer just throw this one over the edge for me! I couldn’t wait to try it!

How To Use It:
This polish applies in the traditional way, with the brush in the cap. I find that Deborah Lippmann’s caps are very easy to grip and paint with. Above is an example of what one coat looks like – impressive! Notice the textured seafoam base and tiny blue glitters!

CC Rating: A+

Even though I expected to be impressed, I am honestly blown away by the quality and color of Deborah Lippmann’s Mermaid’s Dream. The glittering base would be stunning alone, but the addition of blue glitter is clever and really sets it apart. You often see sea-inspired shades in Summer collections, but I have truly never seen one like Mermaid’s Dream.

I applied one thick coat of this polish and that was honestly almost enough. I could probably apply another, thinner coat to go over areas that are a bit sheer, but the opacity of this polish formula is amazing. It’s also go great staying-power and has lasted on me for 3 days already with zero chips and no topcoat.

You better get this one before it’s gone or you’ll regret it! Deborah Lippmann’s Mermaid’s Dream is the nail polish shade of the summer! It’s available at her website for $18 and worth every penny.
