Listen to Your News With SoundGecko [Web Spy]

We’re all busy, which is why I love anything that makes things faster, more streamlined, or just easier in general. So naturally when I heard about SoundGecko, I had to check it out.

SoundGecko takes web content — such as articles and blog posts — and converts them into MP3 files that you can download. This is perfect for multitaskers like myself! Now instead of trying to read on the treadmill or exercise bike (bad ideas), I can just find something on the web I want to read, load the SoundGecko file onto my iPod and listen to it!

Is studying not leaving you with enough extra time to read your favorite blogs? Listen to them while you’re studying! Did you stay out too late last night and forget to read the article your professor assigned? Listen to it on the way to class! Want to catch up on the latest celebrity gossip? Listen in the car!

One thing to be aware of: the text-to-voice sound is a little hard to get used to (very robot-sounding and digital), but when you’re freeing up this much time to do other things, do you really care?
