Make Wiser Food Choices With Fooducate [Web Spy]

Most of us try to be healthy, but it can be pretty confusing at times. There’s a lot of conflicting information out there about what we should and shouldn’t eat, and a lot of stuff that we might think is “healthy” actually isn’t all that good for us.
For example, in an effort to try to watch my calorie intake and eat a little better, I recently picked up the reduced-fat version of my favorite peanut butter the last time I was at the grocery store. I thought I was making a good choice, but when I brought it home and compared it to the regular kind, I was shocked to discover the fat and calorie differences weren’t all that much — and the reduced-fat even had more sugar than the regular! Not to mention that the regular kind only had about 5 ingredients, whereas the other had about twice that much — which included big no-nos like high-fructose corn syrup and a bunch of things I can’t pronounce.
But making healthy food choices doesn’t have to be so confusing. Fooducate grades your groceries (as A, B+, C-, etc.) based on the nutrition facts and ingredient list and offers healthier alternatives — favoring those that are minimally processed, contain real ingredients and are nutrient-rich.
Fooducate has over 200,000 foods in its database (and growing!), and there’s also an awesome app that scans bar codes so you can make sure you’re making a smart choice right from the grocery store!
Now that I’ve got the help of Fooducate, eating healthy is a piece of (vegan, gluten- and sugar-free) cake!
