Minka Kelly is Classically Casual [Celebrity Chic on the Cheap]

Minka Kelly has been under the radar lately, but she’s playing Jackie O in an upcoming movie, so that should change soon. In the meantime, she has not stopped gracing red carpets with her presence, nor have the paparazzi left her alone. What I have always appreciated about Minka’s style is that her ensembles tend to be timeless and simple, and usually featuring one great statement piece or accessory to really amplify the look.

Old Navy tank//Victoria’s Secret skirt//Endless shoes//Nine West tote
This is a super casual, laidback aesthetic that is great for fall days. This rich blue tank (I seem to have an obsession with deep blue these days) adds the perfect splash of color to an otherwise neutral outfit. If you’re a maxi skirt fiend, there’s no reason to pack those away yet. Swap out the neons and the florals for classic fall colors, like this lovely gray one, and you can get plenty of wear in the next couple of months. The highlight of this outfit for me is really the straw tote. The size makes it super functional, and straw bags are just unusual enough to be eye-catching. These light gold sandals are the perfect invisible shoe for this outfit, but you could easily jazz it up with some fierce ballet flats or pumps. This is a cute outfit for class or for casual coffee dates and brunches. Add a cardigan or blazer for extra warmth.
