Google Introduces the “Bacon Number” [WTF Friday]

In case you readers were already running out of ways to get distracted in class, Google has invented the ultimate pointlessly awesome game. You know that game, “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon?” Basically, the idea is that every actor in Hollywood has some connection to Kevin Bacon. It plays off of the idea that everyone in the world is connected to another person by no more than six people. Hollywood is much smaller than the world obviously, so most celebrities have 1 or 2 connections to Kevin Bacon. For some strange, brilliant reason Google decided to add celebrity “bacon numbers” to its search engine this week! Type in a celebrity’s name along with “bacon number” and Google breaks down their link to Kevin. For example, I did Snooki’s and her number is a 3 because:

1. She was in The Three Stooges with Larry David

2. Larry David was in Radio Days with Dianne Wiest

3. Dianne Wiest was in Footloose with Kevin Bacon

This new Google search feature has absolutely no point but it’s definitely WTF-worthy. Enjoy and tell us some of the best ones you came up with!!
