Dear Pumpkin Spice Latte,

Happy fall! And welcome back. After months of caramel macchiatos, mochas, and peppermint lattes, it’s finally your time to shine. You, with your perfectly crafted autumn palette, are the epitome of fall. In fact, you mark the beginning of fall for some people. The season hasn’t really started until they’ve had a pumpkin spice latte. And hey, now you’re even Instagram famous. I’ve seen photos of you all over that social media platform with pretty much every filter possible. But personally, I think you look best in person, au natural.

Now, I know there are some people who criticize you, because they don’t like fall, or they don’t like Starbucks, or they just don’t like lattes. (Apparently they’re actually are people who don’t like coffee. Who knew?) But you shouldn’t worry about them. They’re just skeptics, and they’ve probably never tasted your sweet pumpkin, coffee, and whip cream goodness. They probably haven’t woken up on a crisp fall morning, pulled on boots and a sweater, and walked a few blocks to their local Starbucks for a morning pick me up. They probably don’t understand how those first few sips of a great cup of coffee can transform a morning. And they definitely don’t understand how much better those first few sips are when they’re tinted with autumn spices.

So I just wanted to let you know to keep your head up high and not let those haters get to you. You are an awesome seasonal caffeinated beverage, and you are my personal favorite. So enjoy your time in the spotlight. Travel to some pumpkin patches, hang out in some apple orchards, take a walk in the park on a breezy fall morning.

Just enjoy your moment this fall.

Sincerely,

A fan

P.S. Watch out for that pumpkin beer guy. He’s moving in on your territory.
