What It Is:
Burberry Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick in Sepia Pink 32
Why This Should Be in Your Bag:
Burberry is probably my current #1 luxury makeup brand. With every single release, they hit it out of the ball park. Even though the products are a bit of a splurge for most, I promise that they never disappoint! Their Lip Cover Soft Satin Lipstick is filled with “nourishing oils and gel dispersed pigment [that] ensure intense moisture and long lasting color”.
Because Burberry is first and foremost a fashion house, they’ve drawn inspiration for the Fall 2012 beauty collection from “the Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2012 runway collection”, featuring “an effortless blend of English countryside hues and elegant city textures”. That sounds absolutely delectable to me, so I couldn’t wait to test out the Lip Cover shade in this release, Sepia Pink 32!
How To Use It:
The application of Sepia Pink is super easy. Just pop off the cap, and swipe on 1-2 coats of the Lip Cover. Burberry also suggests that you can use your finger and “push” the lipstick into your lips for a more natural look.
CC Rating: A+
When I first opened this tube of lipstick, I have to admit I was a bit worried. It seemed like quite a deep brown shade, which I really can’t pull off. However, after I applied I felt a lot more confident; it was a slightly vampy dark rose. AND, when I went out, my confidence was boosted even more by the slew of compliments I got! Seriously, this lip color is attention-grabbing in the best possible sense.
Burberry Lip Cover is probably my favorite lipstick formula; it gives a glossy wash of color, isn’t drying in the least and stays put!
The packaging itself is also super luxurious. The heavy metal tube with embossed checks is so pretty that I often pop it on my desk and the magnetic closure gives me peace of mind that my beautiful (and pricey!) lippie won’t get all over the lining of my purse.
Burberry Lip Cover in Sepia Pink 32 will run you $30 USD/$36 CAD but I can assure you, it’s worth it. Sepia Pink truly leaves nothing to be desired and is the perfect Fall shade! It’s available from the Burberry website in the US and is a Holt Renfrew Vancouver and Toronto Bloor Street exclusive in Canada.
