Nowadays, it seems like every movie that comes to the screen was adapted from a book. This can be very hit or miss for me but I always find myself curious about how the film will match up to the book. I’m also one of those people that MUST read the book before the movie comes out. Here are a few upcoming movies based on some of our favorite books, both new and old.
Which books have you read? Which books will you read?

It makes me sad that 50 shades of grey is on the same list as Anna Karenina

I stopped reading after I saw that you consider Fifty Shades of Grey to be a good book. What trash.

I would say don’t judge a book by it’s cover but that’s not true in this case. The book really just made the list since it’s one of the most anticipated books turning into a movie. There really are a lot of great reads on here.

Where's "Atlas Shrugged"?!?!?! Also, where's Hollywood's creativity, is there no one there that write scripts and story lines anymore?

"John Dies at the End" by David Wong should also be on this list.

50 Shades of Grey is a great book. It is well written, has attention to detail and gives great background. Carrie is not something that I would consider a "GREAT" book, but I would never call it trash.

then you should change the title of your post. you invalidate your entire argument by claiming that 50 shades is 'an amazing book'

In a way, Fifty Shades is an “amazing” book. Not based on its merits as a piece of literature but rather to its achievements in increasing sales of online books and expanding readership. The series was also the fastest selling paperback series of all time, surpassing even Harry Potter.

50 shades?? REALLY??? I read three pages and was disgusted that this series sold 50 million plus books, it is horribly written, and even worse it has now spawned a slew of wanna be S&M writers, the way the horrible twilight novels spawned a slew of horrible vampire based novels.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message
home a little bit, but other than that, this is magnificent blog.
A great read. I will certainly be back.
