Why This Should Be in Your Bag:

Let me just say that Anastasia is KILLING it right now! Her brand expansion in the past few years is fantastic and she keeps putting out amazing palettes and sets, like Holiday 2012′s I Want You to Want Me. With a mini palette of nine eye shadows (it’s removable!), a Liquid Eyeliner, mini Brow Gel and double-ended brush, it’s an eyelook all-in-one! Anastasia’s Illumin8 eyeshadow formula is also unique in that it provides mega anti-aging benefits to illuminate, firm and hydrate the delicate skin around the eyes. The shades in this palette are right up my alley, so I couldn’t wait to try it out!

How To Use It:

The palette doesn’t come with particular directions, but I used my classic formula: light shade on the lid, darker in the crease and darkest in the outer corner. In this look, I used Front Row Center, Power Ballad and Iron On. Finish off with the liquid eyeliner included in this kit and my own mascara, as well as taming my brows with the Brow Gel and I’m good to to go!

    I wasn’t kidding when I said that Anastasia was killing it. This palette is AMAZING and potentially my favorite neutral palette of all time! The mix of browns, beiges and purples is perfectly suited to my cool skin-tone and I just love that it’s removable! All 9 shadows are buttery smooth and apply great. The brush isn’t the greatest, but that’s usually how it goes with brushes in palettes. The liquid eyeliner is really good as well and stays put all day. The brow gel mini holds my brows in place, although I don’t find it a necessary item in my makeup arsenal.
