And so it begins: the riddance of our post-Thanksgiving food-babies, the last taste of freedom before our finals-week transformation that will no doubt land us a spot as extras for The Walking Dead, and the last push before we ring in the new year. Ah yes, the countdown to the holidays is a wonderful time; one full of cheer, festive activities, excitement and the thought of returning home from college for longer than a nanosecond (seriously, I barely digested that stuffing!).
For those of you living home – and reveling in the convenience of your private washer-dryer – you’ll be seeing a lot more of your friends…and your not-friends, too. With all the festivities, and all the people you know you’ll be inevitably running into, it could be quite daunting to consider the fact that you’ll want to look good: let’s face it…Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, your BFF’s house party, and the homecoming of your super-cute neighbor who has been abroad in Guam (literally)? Hell yeah, you plan to look hot!
So while we’re still in the month of November, and before we begin the 25 days of Christmas, why not get a head start on looking hot for the holidays?
With December only a few short days away, take some time to plan out the month, and consider the time you can spend on your workout! It is extremely important to maintain exercise, especially if you already have a routine down! Don’t lose track and let the busy month diminish your progress, and make sure to take time to de-stress from all the work you’ll be finishing up before break. Working out is a great breather from any studying or paper-writing, and can be as long, or as short as you want it. Keeping with the goal of looking hot for the holidays, there is no better workout to give you an overall slimmer, leaner look and target all your problem areas quite like Pilates can! Pilates not only gives you long, lean muscles for an overall toned physique, but also flattens your stomach and slims out your frame. You’ll lose inches, and tone the major problem areas like your midsection and your lower body! Plus, you’ll relieve stress, take a break from your daily activities, and even boost your immune system – which will come in handy when you get less sleep the last week of class!
So set aside some time for this awesome Pilates workout! There are easy-to-follow videos to help guide you through the moves, which focus on toning and leaning-out your stomach, midsection, thighs and legs! This great workout will bring you one step closer to looking hot this holiday season! Want more? Check out some other great moves that work to lengthen your muscles and trim your problem areas! The videos explain each exercise, and make it really easy for beginners to get an efficient workout! Save your gym money for a new years eve dress or some gifts for your family, and workout at home with Pilates. Your future-zombie-finals-prep-self will thank you (as will your parents for buying them something other than a coffee mug – it’s fine, we’ve all been there)!
