What It Is:

Urban Decay The Vice Palette

Why This Should Be in Your Bag:

Urban Decay makes some of the BEST shadows on the planet and now they’ve re-formulated them to make them better than ever! Their newest palette, The Vice Palette, is “loaded with 20 never-before-seen shades you won’t find anywhere else. [And] with a mix of mattes, satins, shimmers, neutrals and brights, the range of shades is unreal”. When I opened this palette, I almost started drooling (sorry for the visual). It’s a great range of shades; lots of my fave, neutrals, but a good amount of fun, bright colors to add pop! I already loved UD’s eyeshadows prior to the reformulation, but I was also really excited to see how they performed after being improved, too. The palette also includes a double-sided brush!

How To Use It:

The options are pretty much endless for this palette – use your imagination! Like I said, I really like the mix of neutrals and brighter shades. Because I normally wear more professional makeup, I threw in two neutral looks I did using the Vice Palette into the gallery below with swatches.

If you’re an eyeshadow junkie, this palette is a must have. A MUST HAVE. Go and buy it right now! Seriously, the quality and selection in the Urban Decay Vice Palette are amazing and you won’t be disappointed. The majority of the shadows are buttery smooth and apply super easily and evenly, even the few mattes. Each of the 20 shadows is 0.03oz and Urban Decay’s regular shadows are 0.05oz and retail for $18, so you’re getting quite a good deal at $59! The brush is also suprisingly soft and useable. Usually brushes included in sets are garbage, but this brush performs pretty well! I don’t have much use for the fluffy side, but the more-dense side has quickly found it’s way into my brush rotation.

Of course, Urban Decay had to include a few shades prone to fallout, but Provocateur was the only one that it was really terrible with. When swatched, Jagged appears quite patchy, but I assure you that when I actually used it in a look it applied great!

If you’re looking for a new vice (haha, punderful), look no further! The Urban Decay Vice Palette has got you covered. It retails for $59 USD and is available at the Urban Decay website and Sephora.com.
