I can’t wait to go home once school is over for the Holidays. Dinner with my family, Christmas gifts, my massive comfy bed…I’m so excited. But one strange thing about going home is bumping into all the people from your old, pre-c0llege life. It’s just weird.
I feel like being back in those same surroundings with those same people makes people revert back to their high school selves. It’s tricky combining who you used to be with who you are now, especially when you’re faced with a bunch of people asking you about your career goals and love life. Wherever you go in your hometown, you’re guaranteed to see someone you used to know, so heading to your local bar is sure to result in some interesting situations. Whether it’s drunkenly telling a teacher how great they were, or faking a smile while listening to how your old friend wants to drop out of college and travel the world, there’s huge potential for some memorable moments. T
here’s no better way to reflect on how much you’ve grown up than to see everyone who used to be a part of your life, and how much – or how little – they’ve changed.
