The perfect ending to your weekend! A frozen fruit smoothie is a nutritious and inexpensive way to start your day, and if you’re anything like me on the weekends, your wallet can use the break!
Though I often enjoy this as a snack, it would be great alongside a full breakfast!
Ingredients
-1 tsp. honey
-1 c. plain yogurt
-1/2 apple, roughly chopped
-1/2 c. frozen mixed berries
-1/2 c. frozen cherries
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Supplies: Immersion Blender, blender, smoothie maker, or food processor
Yields: 2 servings
Instructions
1. Start with honey in a tumbler or mixing cup. Microwave for 15 seconds, to allow for easier blending.
2. Add 1 c. yogurt and 1/2 of an apple, roughly chopped. Blend until apples are liquefied.
3. Add in frozen berries and cherries. Blend lightly.
4. Serve and devour immediately!
Full Disclosure: The immersion blender I shared above is the one I use in my home. I am sharing it with you without prompt or knowledge of Cuisinart®.
