Daria Showed Me The Light [Saturday Flashback]

Daria, the Beavis and Butthead spin-off, is just one of those gems of television that don’t come around very often. Daria’s deadpan humor and utter disdain for high school made me feel like my deadpan humor and utter disdain for high school was totally normal. The show became a staple of the ’90s because it accurately captured the attitudes and culture of young people at the time. Daria and Jane’s disgust of their peers, consumer culture and conformity were always in contrast to Quinn’s need to fit in, be popular and go shopping – and it was always hilarious.
The show pointed out how silly school was but how important it seems when you’re experiencing it. Check out this supercut of Daria quotes.
