Personalize Your Coffee Mug! [DIY With CC]

If you’re like me, buying gifts for people is a lot of fun. I love the feeling of finding the perfect gift for my sister or my best friend (and then being that girl at the party that’s like, “Open mine first! No wait, last! Just open mine!”). But recently I’ve discovered that sometimes, especially when you’re swamped with work, it’s difficult to find that perfect gift for someone that’s both something they would like and personalized for them.

If you’ve been experiencing similar feelings, fear no more! A gift that you may have never thought of is so obvious, it’s right under your nose! That is, it’s literally under your nose when you sip coffee in the morning. A DIY coffee mug is the perfect gift for anyone’s birthday, whether it be your boyfriend or best friend. A Sharpie mug is a way of telling someone any message of your choice and is a lasting gift that they can use over and over again! Also, having someone reminded of you every time they happily finally get their morning cup doesn’t sound too bad.

What you’ll need:

-A sharpie, color of your choice (maybe an extra if yours runs out)

-A porcelain mug

-An oven

What to do:

1. Come up with a cute message relating to the event your gift is for (your class year is a good tip for a graduation mug!).

2. Using the sharpie, write your personalized message on the mug.

3. Bake the mug for 30 minutes on 350 degrees.

4. Cool completely for a while before you wash it or use it!

5. Wrap up your gift and give!

Note: This method has proved effective for most users. However, for some people, the marker has washed off or has scratched off in the dishwasher. Because of this, hand wash only! And a certain brand of markers, Pebeo, have also been recommended if you experience problems with Sharpies!
