I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything, but I make some of the best brownies in the world. Ask my boyfriend. Ask my best friend. Ask my mailman. I seriously will make you cry because these brownies are just so damn good. Granted, they are about as healthy for you as eating a stick of butter raw, but what’s a few calories when it comes to rocking your tastebuds’ world?
While I do love my brownies, I was looking around for something a little different to mix it up a bit and that’s when I stumbled upon this amazing recipe on one of my favorite blogs, A Beautiful Mess. Check out the recipe below and be prepared to be in a major food coma!
What You’ll Need:
-4 Cubes of unsweetened chocolate
-2 c. sugar
-1 c. flour
-1 tspn. vanilla extract
-2 sticks of butter
-one bag of peanut butter chips
-one bag of pretzel sticks
Here’s How to Do It:
In the microwave, on 50% power, microwave the butter and chocolate chips until melted, stopping to stir every 30-60 seconds. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in the sugar and flour. Add the vanilla and eggs, one at a time, stirring to combine. Then add the peanut butter chips and a few pieces of broken up pretzels. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and set aside.
Once the brownies are baked, add pretzels to the top of your brownies in whatever fun pattern you’d like. The ladies at A Beautiful Mess opted for chevron. Eat and enjoy!
