It’s Monday, OMG you must be so excited. One of the worst parts of graduating college is that you never get summer vacation again, unless you become a teacher of course. Your life, if you work a 9 to 5, becomes stable and predictable in a certain sense that is mostly positive but can sometimes force you into an existential crisis similar to that of Bartleby the Scrivener. Is my job meaningful? Will each day of my life become identical to the last? Am I a cog in an evil machine? Is everyone around me “dumb”? Am I “dumb”? Like most things in life your job and sense of happiness are exactly what you make of it. However, on Mondays we’re often reminded of how it feels to work the grind and the existential crisis kicks in.
