What Is The Average Penis Size?
Penis size is important—to dudes. In my experience, guys are pretty obsessed with their penis size whereas, I’ve never heard a woman express disappointment or gratitude toward a penis for its length or girth as opposed to its, um, prowess. Still, for some reason people thought finding out the average penis size was a good investment. This is “science,” folks.
So, what is it? Drum roll, please. The average penis size is 5.6 inches long while erect. According to The Huffington Post, “The smallest erect penis in the study was about 1.6 inches (4 cm) long, and the largest was 10.2 inches (26 cm) long. The average penile girth was about 4.8 inches (12.2 cm).”
For comparison: an iPhone 4 is 4.5 inches long. It was also noted that race and ethnicity were not good predictors of penis size. The study, conducted by Debby Herbenick, a researcher at Indiana University, had 1,661 men submit their measurements on the internet, so I am sure everyone was telling the 100% truth.
“It would be good for women to have good data to show, ‘Hey, there’s a lot of diversity for women’s genitals, just like there are for men’s,’” Herbenick said. Yes, we need people to continue researching what we all already know to be true. So, do you agree, is this the average penis size in your experience?
