You couldn’t get me to take a nap when I was younger. But in college, that’s a different story. There always seems to be something else you could be doing, and more often than not we leave our hardest assignments until the last minute. (Darn you, procrastination!)
More than 60% of college students are depriving themselves of sleep. Why are we doing this to ourselves?! Sleep is a beautiful thing! College Fashion explores five reasons why we are doing more harm than good by being insomniacs. You would be surprised how your body will thank you after a good night’s rest.
Getting your beauty rest isn’t just a myth! Do yourself a favor and sleep in. You’ll allow your skin to produce more collagen, which will leave you glowing better than any beauty product. Staying up until the wee hours of the morning is cute until ]you wake up looking 5 years older.
There’s a science to getting the “right” amount of sleep. The Center for Disease Control says that adults require 7-9 hours of sleep to be healthy, and I definitely make sure that I get my 8 hours in. But what I’ve found is that when I’m really feeling like a rebel and get 5 hours of sleep, I don’t wake up sleepy at all.
How many hours of sleep does the job for you?
