What It Is:

BITE Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Moscato* and Rioja*

Why This Should Be in Your Bag:

BITE Beauty, my go-to lip brand, has come out with a new product that fits right into Fall 2013′s bright, matte lip trend. Their new cashmere lip cream is “a cream-to-powder matte lip color that delivers an unprecedented 50 percent pigment dispersion.” BITE claims that these contain 4 times the pigment of your average lip product and are done in small batches to ensure they are the best! I saw a couple swatches on other blogs and couldn’t wait to get my hands on these!

How To Use It:

The included applicator is pretty good on the Cashmere Lip Creams, but does require touch-up. It’s an extra long, straightened-out doe foot (check out the pic above) and while there’s no issue getting enough product on your lips, it does get a little messy and require some touch-up with a cotton swab.

CC Rating: A

BITE Beauty has another hit on their hands. The Cashmere Lip Creams are smooth, silky and an absolute joy to wear! I’ve gotten about 6 hours of wear out of these (but eating and drinking do diminish the pigmentation) and after they wear off they leave a slight stain.

I am however a bit perplexed by the name; they just never got quite “matte” enough for me! The product always stayed rather creamy and slippery on my lips. While this made them more comfortable, I never got the super bold, matte look I was going for. However, I adored the finish of the BITE Beauty Cashmere Lip Creams and probably should have kept the “cashmere” descriptor in mind because this is honestly what they felt like – smooth, silky and fluid.

BITE Beauty Cashmere Lip Creams are going to be one of THE lip products for Fall! They’re available at Sephora for $28.
