In Our Makeup Bag: Make Up For Ever Artisan Brushes

What It Is:

Make Up For Ever Artisan Brushes 150* and 236*

Why This Should Be in Your Bag:

Good brushes are a key piece in any makeup arsenal. Even if you have the most beautiful product, you won’t get the best results possible without good tools!

Make Up For Ever’s new Artisan Brush range has been in development for five years and boasts 76 brushes – one to satisfy every makeup desire! Each brush has gone through over 50 quality checks, so you can expect they are top notch. I was super excited to test out this range and have a face brush and eye brush for you today.

How To Use It:

150 is the Precision Blush Brush and 236 is the Large Precision Blender Brush. To apply blush, I swirl the brush around, then work it onto my cheeks, starting closer to my ears and blending down to the apples of my cheeks. The eye brush is great for blending out a smoky eye or apply an all-over lid shade. I’ve actually also found it useful for blending undereye concealer!

CC Rating: A+/B

Another split review. The Precision Blush Brush (150) is getting the A+ rating. It’s quickly become my new favorite blush brush and applies any blush (compact or loose powder) brilliantly. It’s actually impossible to over-apply blush with the 150 and it blends the color right into my skin. Gorgeous and highly recommended for the $40 price tag!

I’ve not found the Large Precision Blender Brush (236) to be so mind-blowing. Sure, it does it’s job well, but I have cheaper brushes that do the same job for me. The quality is definitely there; thick packed fibers and sturdy craftmenship. But I’m just not convinced I can recommend spending $31 on it.

If you’re looking for new makeup brushes, MUFE’s Artisan Collection is a great place to start. Investing in a good set of brushes can be a makeup revelation, so do yourself a favor and check them out!
