What It Is:

Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing & Brightening Cream*

Why This Should Be in Your Bag:

Even though I rock my pale skin, I can’t help but feeling that sometimes I look like a corpse. This is especially true when I loose my tan around October-November and through til the summer. Brightening treatments have always interested me for this reason; even though they’re not giving you any color, they supposedly make you look more alive and healthy!

Korres Wild Rose Cream contains “wild rose oil, a natural source of vitamin C, [that] helps repair the look of fine lines and skin discolorations and imperata-cylindrica extract, derived from a desert plant, known for its ability to provide continuous moisturization by regulating the moisture equilibrium of the skin.” Sign me up for a test drive!

How To Use It:

Pretty straightforward application guidelines with this one: after daily cleansing, apply to face and neck, avoiding the eye area. I decided to give this a good go and wear it both morning and evening.

CC Rating: B

The Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing & Brightening Cream has been a lovely moisturizer and does a good job in that arena. Even in the bitter cold, my skin doesn’t get that dry, wind-chapped feeling that other moisturizers sometimes leave it with.

HOWEVER, I didn’t notice any brightening in the month I used this. I figured a month would be long enough to get results, but alas, there were none. Despite this, I still enjoyed using this cream and adored the floral scent. I actually looked forward to cracking it open every morning and eve just to smell it!

If you’re looking for a new, standard moisturizer, you can’t go wrong with this one (just don’t buy it for the brightening promises!). It retails for $35 at Sephora.com.
