1. Classic Mulled Wine
Pretty much my go to for Christmas alcohol, despite the fact that I’m actually not a big wine fan. Here’s my recipe – super easy, comforting, and tasty.

Ingredients: 1 bottle of red wine, 2 cinnamon sticks, 3 star anise, 3 cloves, 2 oranges (sliced), 2 lemons (sliced), 1/2 a cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of apple cider, 1/4 cup of honey

Method: Place all of the ingredients into a saucepan and simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Serve hot.

Super creamy and much better than egg nog.

Ingredients: 1 ounce Bailey’s Irish Cream, 1 ounce creme de cacao, 1/2 ounce butterscotch ripple schnapps, 1/2 ounce vanilla vodka.

Method: Fill a shaker with ice, then pour in all of the ingredients. Shake vigorously, pour into a glass, and top with cocoa powder.

Fresh, sweet, and bubbly, and a great way to use up any wine you get as a Christmas gift.

4. Peppermint Hot Chocolate
It looks like you’re just enjoying a simple festive drink, but, secretly, you’re getting deliciously drunk.

Ingredients: 1 quart skim milk, 6 ounces of semisweet chocolate (chopped), 6 ounces of peppermint schnapps (more, depending on how much your family is annoying you), whipped cream, 6 peppermint candy canes.

Method: Heat 1 cup of the milk in a large saucepan and slowly add the chocolate until melted. Add the remaining milk and whisk rapidly, do not allow to boil. Remove from heat and add peppermint schnapps. Serve topped with whipped cream and a candy cane.
