Last year, I believe, Twitter was flooded with disappointed, spoiled brats complaining about how there parents got them the wrong iPhone. “Ugh, I hate my parents,” was the general consensus from ignorant millennials who don’t just want things but expect things for doing nothing but sucking the Earth of its natural resources. This year the “I hate my parents” trend on Twitter was substituted with parody and genuine gratitude towards those who birthed us. However, there were still a few spoiled brats out there but most of them knew better than to make their entitlement public.
I have no idea why young people think their parents owe them anything besides food, shelter and support but aye yie yie, a little perspective would not go amiss.
