Dos Equis, purveyors of the most interesting beer in the world, wants to help their fans experience their most ambitious, adventurous and daring dreams through the “Stay Thirsty” Grant. If you’re someone who can’t read enough accounts of survival in the great outdoors, someone who wants to put their bravery to the test or if you simply want to live life to the absolute fullest — listen up. Dos Equis is giving up to $25,000 to one stand-out applicant so that they can fund their ultimate adventure.
Fans of Dos Equis and aspiring thrill seekers are encouraged to submit a three minute video application detailing the intent of their proposed adventure right on the Dos Equis site. Previous winners have gone on to study how Bhutan is the world’s epicenter of happiness, and have ventured to document the disappearing glaciers of Uganda’s Ruwenzori mountains. The two men, Neal Losin and Nathan Dappen, traversed the Ruwenzori range and went on to publish their shocking discoveries in a documentary titled “Snows of the Nile,” which will be screened at the New York Wild Film Festival. And we actually had the opportunity to view it at The Explorer’s Club right here in New York City! The trailer hardly does the film justice, but it’s a magnificent peek into a corner of the world few of us even knew existed, much less knew was in duress.
If you have a passion for adventure and a hunger to strike out on the rugged path toward your wildest dreams, then submit your application to become a winner of Dos Equis’ next “Stay Thirsty” Grant. The deadline for submitting videos is March 23rd, so you’ve got plenty of time to create an amazing proposal. The public will vote on their favorite contestant from April 14th – May 2nd, and a winner will be announced May 5th!
