Journalists Are Live-Tweeting Their Shockingly Gross Sochi Hotel Experiences

Welcome to Sochi, where the 2014 Olympics will test your strength, endurance and dedication to staying in the nastiest hotels you’ve ever seen. With the first Olympic games starting tomorrow and the Opening Ceremonies rolling out on Friday, journalists have officially landed in Russia to report for duty. Except there’s one problem — it seems that Russia didn’t know they were coming.

Journalists are live-tweeting (yes, right now) their hotel mishaps and it’s beyond amazing. In what is increasingly sounding like all of my worst fears combined, the Sochi hotels are missing floors, beds and water purification systems. And that’s on top of the wild dogs being shot to death right in front of your face. Ahh, Russia, you beautiful mess.
