Scandal is returning tomorrow night and we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s in store for Pope and associates. [WARNING: SEASON 3 SPOILERS AHEAD] This season has been a roller coaster ride of emotions and we have come to expect nothing less from Shonda Rimes’ political soap opera. The one thing we love about the show is how scathingly cynical it is about politics. It’s not a battle between good and evil because everyone does evil things, the only real difference is what their intentions are and those intentions usually don’t justify the means. While we empathize with many, if not all of the characters, murder, deception, corruption and conspiracy have become all too commonplace for these gladiators in suits. The show poses many questions like: how much are you willing to compromise for the greater good? How far will you go when everyone else will go even further to get what they want? Is corruption necessary for the health of the nation? Is infidelity more complicated than how it appears? How much can someone self sabotage before they implode? Questions like these don’t leave much room for morality in the Scandal universe but they make for excellent television.
With the second half of of Season 3 approaching instead of recapping all that’s happened we thought we’d rank the Scandal characters with our moral compasses. Who on Scandal is the most evil?
