LUSH's Face Masks Will Basically Make You Glow

I am definitely an advocate of face masks made with natural ingredients that you’re more likely to find in your kitchen than you are at Sephora – I just never really dabbled in them much because they’re sort of a hassle to make. Enter this little skincare gem I am currently living for- the LUSH line of all-natural face masks. They combine the purity of a homemade face mask with the convenience of a store-bought product, which basically makes it an instant classic.
Of course, all this would be worthless if it didn’t deliver great results, so let’s back it up a bit.
I consider myself pretty lucky on the skin front. I do have sensitive, allergy-prone skin, but I figured out how to navigate that years ago. A simple cleanser/moisturizer one-two punch is pretty much all I’ve ever employed because it just so happens to work for me. But thanks to the fact that I don’t use really intense, aggressive products, there’s one skin issue I have that’s worth addressing: a lack of brightness.
If your complexion is a bit duller than you’d like, try drinking more water. But also, try using one of LUSH’s Fresh Face Masks because they are fabulous.
I picked up the ‘Brazened Honey’ mask after the sales associate at my local LUSH assured me it would be appropriate for skin type and concerns. Admittedly I was a bit reluctant – I mean, how many times has someone promised me that I’d love a product, only for me to try it and realize its too intense for me? (The answer: too many times.) Still, I figured that I could shell out $7 and give this a try. Yes. Seven. Dollars. Actually less – $6.95 to be exact.
The verdict? This thing left my skin feeling so clean, smooth, bright and soft. It was amazing. What was even more amazing was the fact that it didn’t even rough up my skin. Incidentally, this isn’t even one of the most gentle masks (at least according to Lush’s web site) but because it was formulated without all the preservatives you see in most products, it didn’t overwhelm my skin (I did wash it off after five minutes instead of ten, though – a great tip for anyone with more sensitive skin.)
Because there aren’t tons of chemical preservatives in this, you’ve got to store it in your fridge and use it up within three weeks. You can probably scrape out 4-5 doses in the $6.95 box, which is really a good value if you consider how much work this pre-mixed concoction saves you. Overall, I would totally recommend this. If you’re lucky enough to live near a Lush store, stop in and chat with an associate about which mask is right for you. Trust me, your skin will thank you.
