Drawing on fake freckles is apparently the new beauty trend. If you don’t believe it’s legit, Top Shop is selling “Freckle Pencils” made specifically for drawing on faux freckles. If you still don’t believe me just ask Alex, a beautiful freckled goddess herself, who saw a lady at Sephora drawing on fake freckles in the mirror.
I happen to think freckles and things like beauty marks are gorgeous but it feels a little weird to try and imitate them. Those little touches are what make people special and I can’t help but feel like I am copying off of someone’s uniqueness. Like, how could I draw faux freckles on my face then stroll into work, like, “Hey, Alex everything is totally normal.” You know what I mean?
I think faux freckles are a great option for something avant garde or special, if you’re trying to complete a look but it feels so inauthentic to me otherwise. However, to each their own. Do you, bb. What do you think?
