Losing your wallet or phone is no fun. If it’s happened to you, you’re familiar with the feeling of hopelessness and cries of “I’ll never see my iPhone again.” Channing Tatum had a similar incident this weekend, when he left his backpack in a New York City cab accidentally. But instead of call the cab company and pray for a miracle like you might do, Channing took to Twitter for help. I mean, with 7 million devoted followers, wouldn’t you try that too?
Dropped off at 42nd street in New York City and left my bag in the cab!

Seriously, left my black backpack in a cab near NYC's 42nd street. If you find it, email me at findmybag@channingtatumunwrapped.com. Thanks!

Naturally, Channing’s dedicated fans saw the call to action, and once they knew he was serious, kept their eyes out. Some even joked that they were about to come to NYC to participate in the search for the backpack!
Luckily, the bag was located and returned to Channing a day later – phew!
To everyone who tried to help and to the good New York Samaritan who found my bag and asked for nothing in return, thank you. Thank you all!

To be honest, if I found Channing Tatum’s bag, I’d definitely return it, but not before going through it to see if there were any props from the set of Magic Mike XXL first. Let this be a lesson to us all – if you find something that someone lost, do what you can to get it back to them. It might just belong to Channing Tatum.
