Apparently Richard Prince is notorious in the art world for stealing other people’s work and selling them them off to make massive amounts of dough. (Wth, man). And I mean massive. Like $100k worth. Either this guy is the biggest douche in the world or the world’s greatest genius. Well, maybe a bit of both.
For his latest venture, this “artist” has taken people’s Instagram photos (without permission) and had them blown up to put on display in an art gallery. I must admit, it’s a pretty cool idea to show what today’s generation considers photography. Hey, iPhones take great photos.
Just ask for permission next time, dude. Seriously. I know I’d be flattered and would gladly split that $100k with you 50/50.
