If you are a grown man of 28, threatening to give another grown man of 28 a “wedgie,” you have lost the beef-battle and it’s time for you to go to bed. Are we seven years old on the playground again? Only there is that kind of diction appropriate—and not even wholly appropriate. As crowd banter?
Look, I can’t even wrap my head around what Meek Mill was thinking at his show in Charlotte, North Carolina, last night. I have never listened to this man’s music in my life and, quite frankly, after all of this ridiculous beef, I have no desire to.
Following Drake poking fun at Meek Mill at his OVO festival earlier this week, Meek Mill freestyled yet another rap aimed at the Toronto rapper. He named Drake’s label mates Lil Wayne, Tyga and Birdman, freestyling, “Wayne don’t f*ck with you, Stunna don’t f*ck with you, Tyga don’t f*ck with you,” later adding, “everybody catching bullet holes, including Drake and the whole OVO,” the final verse being a direct reference to the two people shot dead at a Drake after party last night.
Meek (can I call you that? Are we on that level?), that kind of comment is tasteless and insensitive to those affected by the shooting. Are you trying to start a beef with them, too?
Meek Mill told the North Carolina crowd that he would give Drake a wedgie the next time he sees him. Wow, you’re so tough. I’m so impressed.
