Oversleeping Can Kill You

For all of you who love to sleep, I come bearing bad news. Along with everything else in the world, now sleeping, our most-beloved hobby, can kill you.
A new study from the University of Sydney discovered that regular oversleeping can have adverse health effects. Like drinking too much, smoking, eating poorly and too much sitting, the researchers found that sleeping more than nine hours a day can have some terrifying side effects.
Over a six year period, regular oversleeping resulted in a 44 percent increased risk of death. The study also discovered that sleeping less than seven hours a day resulted in a nine percent increased mortality risk. In short? Sleeping less is better for you. Us college students are clearly the healthiest demographic of all based on this study alone.
I suppose this is all the more reason to actually get out of bed and get to that 8 a.m. class on-time.
