McKenna Wellborn, Appalachian State University
“At school, you can find me beginning my third year on the App State Elite Dance Team. This is my biggest commitment outside of schoolwork. We perform at all football games, basketball games, and wrestling matches. I am also involved in the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSHLA) club, and I also hold the secretary position for the Appvocates club.”
Diamond Haynes, Louisiana State University
“I major in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Business. My future career is being a publicist and manager so I need to know the ins and outs of everything!”
Yainslie Calhoun, University of Nevada – Reno
“If I could change one thing about the world it would be the way humans interact with one another. It saddens me that we can’t take care of each other, a man-eat-man world is harmful to our species and I believe we would benefit by coming together as a whole instead of only looking out for oneself and their immediate family.”
Morgan Ross, University of Akron
“I major in Political Science with a focus in Criminal Justice. Someday I hope to become a criminal profiler for the government!”
Gillian Reed, University of Southern Indiana
“If I had 24 hours left to live, I would definitely tell every person exactly how I feel about them and then probably take the next flight to California and drive through as many cities as I could.”
