If you’re one of Alexis Ren’s nearly 7 million Instagram followers, you already know all about the 19-year-old beauty’s fabulous life. The model travels around the world to picturesque locations and flaunts her incredible body in barely-there bikinis – but what makes her feed so damn enthralling?
Alexis recently sat down with The Cut to divulge the formula behind all those likes. Here’s how to up your Instagram game, straight from the pro.
1. Do that body good
Let’s be honest – Alexis’ body is absolutely crazy. Although she’s a natural beauty – she was scouted in a Los Angeles mall at 13 and became a professional model the next year – she has to work to keep her figure.
On top of working out every single day – obvs – and keeping an ultra-healthy diet, Alexis says she doesn’t drink.
“I don’t work this hard on my body, I don’t put in the effort food-wise and workout-wise to be like, ‘No, no, don’t look at it,’ ” she said. “It just doesn’t make sense to me. I love to show off my body, and I feel like I earned it, because I work out every day. I’m really healthy, and that’s one of the things I pride myself on.”
2. Jet set
Alexis says she keeps her content “spicy and fun” by constantly heading to new exotic locations for almost daily new posts. Although many of her trips are funded by brands, Alexis is no stranger to taking out her wallet and paying for it herself.
And no, she doesn’t have sugar daddies.
3. Get a hot boyfriend
Okay, this isn’t exactly Alexis’ tip, but it’s a necessary observation by me.
Alexis and her ex, fellow Instagram star Jay Alvarrez, were #relationshipgoals while they dated, globe-trotted together as arguably the hottest couple in the world and made all of their millions of followers jealous. Although they’ve recently disappeared from each other’s feeds – and unfollowed each other – it’s probably had a hand in Alexis’ success on the social media platform.
“It is what it is,” Alexis said of her relationship with the long-haired hottie. “Like, [my] personal life is pretty out there, but I’m okay, everything is good … I mean, it’s interesting … everyone has their own opinion about it. But, you know, it is what it is, and we’re both happy, and that’s what matters.”
