It doesn’t take a ton of brain activity to realize how beautiful Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir, Miss Iceland 2015, is. But according to The Iceland Monitor, that won’t stop the owner from being a complete idiot. Arna Ýr was set to take the stage during the Miss Grand International beauty contest Tuesday but took herself out of the race after the pageant’s owner told her that she needed to lose weight in order to win.

The blonde beauty queen was told to “Stop eating breakfast, eat just salad for lunch and drink water every evening until the contest,” by spokespeople for the founder and owner of the Miss Grand International beauty contest, Thai TV presenter Nawat Itsaragrisil. According to sources, Itsaragrisil said he liked Arna Ýr and wanted to give her “advice” so she would go far in the competition.

“If the owner of the contest really wants me to lose weight and doesn’t like me the way I am, then he doesn’t deserve to have me in the Top 10,” a visibly upset Arna Ýr told The Iceland Monitor. “Yes, my shoulders are a bit broader than the other girls’ but that is because I was a member of the Icelandic national athletics team and I am proud of that.”

She continued, “Of course, I don’t take these comments to heart, but to do my best then hear this… Personally, I think I’m fine as I am.” “Fine” is an understatement.

WTF is wrong with you Nawat Itsaragrisil? Take your misogynistic, body shaming BS some where else. On Sunday night, Arna Ýr decided to take herself out of the competition.

“If the owner of the contest really wants me to lose weight and doesn’t like me the way I am, then he doesn’t deserve to have me in the top 10,” she said. Luckily she’s not throwing away her free vacay. In a recent Instagram photo, she also announced that she’d be staying in Vegas until Wednesday to explore the city.

YAS GIRL!
