The first lady has been a light of positivity in this (still kind of unbelievable) presidential race. And in the weeks leading up to the election, Michelle Obama has been rallying harder than ever for Hillary Clinton. She’s been critical of Donald Trump and has spoken about how much she admires Hillary Clinton’s leadership and courage.
The women appeared in a joint rally earlier today in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The first lady introduced the democratic candidate with glowing words. “We have never had a more qualified and prepared candidate for the presidency than Hillary Clinton. Yes, more than Barack, more than Bill. So she is absolutely ready to be commander in chief on Day One.”
Their appearance drew more than 11,000 people, and Obama had primarily come along to support Clinton, who returned the praise she received from the first lady.
“Seriously, is there anyone more inspiring than Michelle Obama?”
She continued by saying how impressed she was with Mrs. Obama’s constant grace, citing the pressures she faced as the first African American first lady. Clinton praised her vegetable garden, her continued advocacy for women, and her amazing dance skills. Check out Michelle Obama busting a move below.
