All around the United States today, businesses and companies are thanking veterans and all active military personnel, including their families, for their service and commitment to protecting our country. From Starbucks to Krispy Kreme, these big chains and restaurants are saying “Thank you” in the best way they know how: by giving away free stuff to those who have served in the armed forces. Check out our list of all the companies giving away free items in honor of Veterans Day on Friday, November 11. Be sure to call ahead to note special limitations or restrictions at certain locations.

Oh, and if you see a veteran or know someone in the military, take a minute to show your appreciation for their service. And don’t forget that you can do this any day of the year, not just on Veterans Day.

Starbucks

Everyone’s favorite coffee chain is giving away a free, tall-sized freshly brewed cup of coffee to U.S. military veterans, those on active duty, and their spouses. Starbucks is also offering a “buy one holiday drink and get one free” special between the hours of 2pm and 5pm, November 10-14.

Krispy Kreme

We are obsessed with Krispy Kreme and today they are giving veterans and active duty military personnel a small cup of coffee and a doughnut.

Outback Steakhouse

Participating locations (make sure to call ahead) are offering a free Bloomin’ Onion appetizer and a beverage to all active and retired military personnel with valid military ID.

Applebee’s, Chili’s, California Pizza Kitchen

All three restaurants are offering free meals from special Veterans Day menus.

IHOP

The restaurant is giving away free red, white and blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
