We love ourselves some Khloe Kardashian. She’s funny, down-to-earth, has great style and her personality balances out the drama that is the Kardashian family. We’ve rooted for her since splitting from Lamar Odom, obsessed over Good American jeans, and even found ourselves googling her workout plan when she debuted her killer revenge body post-breakup. Which is why we were excited when we heard about her new fitness reality show Revenge Body, where the 32-year-old health guru helps people get their own revenge body against those who have screwed them over. But instead of the body-positive attitude we’re used to seeing on social, Kardashian’s new E! show is full of drama, insults and body shaming.
At the beginning of the promo, we hear how Kardashian leaned on food to deal with her emotions. “I was overweight as a kid. When I was stressed out or sad, I would eat,” she says in a voiceover. “So I had to learn how to then put all my energy into something positive and healthy for me, which is how I fell in love with working out. And I really feel like this journey will do the same for you.”
Sounds positive for the most part, but the clip quickly jumps to women demeaning themselves, with one man saying he’s “built like a loser” while a woman proclaims “I am almost a rectangle” after her hips are measured.
Kardashian tries to keep things positive by the end, saying “it’s not about a weight number. It’s about how you feel.” But does she really think that?
Honestly we’ll be tuning in, but we hope it reverts back to her “love yourself” social media tagline. Check out the full preview below.
