Right about now, your Instagram feed is full of Victoria’s Secret models heading to Paris with their “perfect” bodies ready to don lingerie for millions of viewers. It’s more than enough to make you rethink all the turkey you ate over the holiday weekend, isn’t it?
Instead of lamenting that you don’t have a tiny waist and DDs, take a look at Jazz Eggers. The London-based model gave her Instagram account a huge makeover last week, re-captioning her photos so her over 16,000 followers could learn how she was really feeling as she fiercely posed.
She started tagging her pics with the hashtag #TruthBehindThisShot, sharing that her agency often told her to change her body, revealing how long it took to nail the snap, or admitting to Photoshop work.
“#notgonnalie At this point the only reason I’m still on instagram is bc casting directors started asking how many followers I have so they can decide whether they consider me or nah,” she wrote on a recent photo. “Idk how to feel about this but hey this is me dropping a selfie to stay in the game. (Also, I edited my instagram captions. Check out #truthbehindthisshot).”
The move closely mirrors the one made by Essena O’Neill last year. The Australian model shared what really went into her “perfect” lifestyle by editing the captions of her Instagram photos before vowing to quit social media because it promoted unrealistic ideals.
