Francia Ruth Ibarra, 26, was reportedly murdered by her Tinder date after she refused to have sex with him. To cover up the crime, Emmanuel Delani Valdez Bocanegra destroyed her body with acid in his Mexico apartment.

According to the Daily Mail, the two met on the dating app earlier this year and saw each other numerous times before Ibarra went missing on December 3. Her friends were concerned after she neglected to meet one of them at a movie theater. She was reported missing soon after.

In an effort to find out where she was, Ibarra’s friends scoured her social media pages and discovered that she had been seeing Bocanegra, a former student at the University of Guanajuato, where Ibarra was attending. Police questioned the 26-year-old after finding the connection and eventually made some gruesome discoveries at his apartment.

The Daily Mail reports that remains of Ibarra’s bones and flesh were found in bin bags on the balcony outside after he tried to use hydrochloric acid to dissolve her body. He also had her clothing in a bar inside of his apartment.

Bocanegra reportedly killed her after she refused to have sex with him and dissolved her body in hopes of trying to make it look like she ran away. He was eventually tracked down and arrested in Mexico City.
