Between numerous Armageddon predictions and a hostile political environment, many have little hope that 2017 will be any better than 2016 was. But thanks to Panera Bread, hope in humanity may be restored.
The popular franchise formally announced that they would be unrolling a delivery service over the next few months, making your hangovers that much more manageable.
“We’re in full roll out mode,” Panera Bread’s CEO Ron Shaich said during a conference Wednesday. “This is no longer a test for us.”
According to Business Insider, Shaich also said that the company is working to offer delivery service at “35 percent to 40 percent of the chain’s roughly 2,000 locations by the end of 2017.” Fingers crossed you’re near one of the chosen locations.
“For us, delivery is a mass-market opportunity,” Shaich added. “It’s not because we’re smarter [than our competitors] — we’re blessed.
And we’re also blessed, Ron Shaich. If there’s one thing I needed to accompany my gatorade post-hangover, it’s a broccoli cheddar bread bowl. There may be a $3 delivery fee, but I’m fine with it, especially when my heads is pounding with the mistakes I made the night before.
